Skype Your Many Blessing

On Sunday, we gave Alba her baby blessing. Since it was stake conference, we decided to have the blessing given at home so that my brother and sis-in-law could be there for the event. And, once we decided to do it at home, we figured all of our family who weren't in town could join in via skype. Technology is so cool that way. Anyway, first of all I should mention that I had dressed Alba in a cute outfit for the blessing earlier during the day. But, true to baby fashion, she had a blow out mighty enough to leak through everything. So, then I changed her into another cute outfit, just before the Bishop came and Henry was about to give her her blessing. But while I was trying to finalize the conference skype call for the blessing, little miss was pooping mightely again, and...ruining her second outfit as well. At this point, I had finally everyone connected, except for my parents and my one sis-in-law, who kept dropping out of the call, so we decide to just throw some pajamas on Alba, and go ahead with the blessing. :) So funny.

Henry gave her a wonderful blessing, telling her what a special and choice daughter of our Heavenly Father she is, how she'll be able to overcome any hardships coming her way, and what an important part she is of our family. Well, he mentioned a few others things, too, but that's all I remember right now.

It was fun doing this at home, and having family join in for it via skype. But mostly, I'm so grateful for our little Alba. I really love you, my little girl. You're such a sunshine, and everyone who sees you just wants to hug and kiss you! We really do love you, and couldn't imagine our family without you!

Alba's cute dress that she chose to poop into before her blessing..I guess at least it happened before. I'd imagine it being a pretty nasty experience when you're holding a baby during a blessing and suddenly feeling the poop squishing into your hands. Haha...that would have been so gross/funny!
