We've been having fun at our house. I thought I'd share some of it.
Exhibit A: Below is a picture of Sophia's first cooked meal. She loves to sit on the counter while I cook, and pour various spices into a pot that I give her. Henry helped her to produce a final product by adding some flour, milk and 1 egg to her last cooking attempt. They fried it all up, and Sophia was dying to bring me her "Crazy Bread" on a plate to try. I was a little scared but have to say it actually wasn't that bad. Extremely salty, but other than that more or less edible. Sophia was so proud of her bread, and I love how much fun she has cooking with me.
Exhibit B: The below construction of duplo blocks was Sophia's sole work. No help or guidance from anyone. I realize lots of kids play with blocks and put them together and all. So, that's certainly not unique. But, it did strike me as pretty impressive how completely symmetrical her construction is. I actually think she was trying to make a person, since she explained that the bottom, outer blocks were shoes. Who knows. Anyway, maybe this is totally normal, but I was pretty impressed with her work.
Exhibit C: What's better than playing with a cool wooden doll house? Playing with it in the dark, while cuddled up in/on your blanket, and having a flashlight to shine into the house.
Exhibit D: And once you're done playing with the doll house in the dark, cuddled up on the blanket, just play with the flashlight. Shining the light straight into your parent's eyes will make for lots of entertainment as mom and dad squirm around, trying to get out of the bright beam.
