She was lucky to have her aunt and uncle here for a party along with her grandparents on Henry's side, and a cousin. She got showered with gifts. I even baked a cake (it was vegan - wish I would have known about that for Sophia's first birthday, but then Sophia really enjoyed her whipping cream and crackers bath tub party). Anyway, we're so glad our little Alba came to us. I love her sunshine personality. She's just a cuddly ball of happiness.
For her 1-year check up she weighed in at 22 lbs which put her in the 85th percentile, and she measured 30 3/4 inches which put her in the 95th percentile for height. She isn't talking much yet (just mama), but in the last few days she's been trying to stand up on her own. Well, actually she DOES stand up on her own, but then once she stands she just wants to jump up and down. When we clap and cheer her own, she gets to excited she keeps standing up over and over and over again - with a huge smile on her face, and jumpy-ness in her little knees. I love it.
She also likes to sit on the kitchen floor and push herself in circles with her legs. I don't know how to best describe it. She stays put in the same spot and just slides herself around and around in a circle on her bum, arms in the air and all. So cute.
Alba - we LOVE you!

Happy Birthday Alba!! Love the tea light to blow out. She has such beautiful eyes.
