The other day Sophia said her first prayer. It went like this:
Me: Lieber Vater im Himmel (Dear Heavenly Father)
Sophia: Himmel (Heaven)
Me: Danke fuer's Essen (thank you for the food)
Sophia: Danke Essen (thanks food)
Me: Wir haben dich lieb (we love you)
Sophia: Reis (Rice). Amen.

Sehr süss!! Opa ist stolz auf seine Enkelin. Und Tante Meike natürlich auch :)
I'm continually impressed by Sophia's vocabulary. Derrick says amen at the end of prayers, but it doesn't sound very much like the word. It's his "word" for amen.
Funniest because I can see her eyeing the rice and saying amen so she can be done and eat already. Hah hah.

Oooh, I get it now! I was confused about where the "rice" came in and thought maybe it was German? So funny and cute! Silly me :)
I love the early prayers of children. You'll find out what are the really important things in a child's life when she starts listing the things she is grateful for.
Ahh, that is so cute and sweet.
haha, suess!!! :)
Kindergebete sind die wundertollsten!
