I never thought motherhood could do this, but it has turned me into a crafty person. Recently I've gone crazy with ribbons making bow, bows, bows and more bows. Here is a picture of most of the bows I've made in the last little while. I've been wondering whether Germans/Europeans would put those hair clips into their kids hair. So, if you're European, make sure to vote in my little poll (top right corner of my blog - as always). Otherwise, enjoy the picture and tell me which ones you liked best (unless you hated them all).

Ribbon Madness

I love the right column of your picture. If I had a girl, I would use those. I'm not too much of a dot person. How do you make those?
If you ever have a daughter Marie, you can custom order some with me. They are really easy to make. You just buy some ribbon of your choice, layer it once, pinch it in the middle and tie it with wire. Then you wrap and clue the middle ribbon around it. Done...I made most of those ribbons yesterday and it took me maybe 2 hours max. It's cheap, fast and easy - my kind of craft.
I think they are nice, but I wouldn't put them into my child's hair... unless we are in the US, going to church on a Sunday. Maybe. BUT I would use them for scrap booking (if I were a crafty person)! ;)
It depends on the size. Are they bigger than her face? If not, I love them.
Love that comment Sarah. So, my favorite is the pink on top, brown on bottom bow. I'll be stealing that idea. No matter how crafty I am, I don't know how you have done these bows and I intend to figure it out...I might not be able to wait till April, especially since you posted directions right here. ;)
The brown with pink pokadots! Love it!
Hey you didn't put my choice on your survey. I like the pink and brown ones, not a fan of polka dots though.
I used headbands for my daughter, my mother-in-law bought tons of them. My family wouldn't let me wear them in France though :) I personally think it made my bald daughter looked a bit more girly! My favorites are also those of the right column. Good job !
Catherine.
I just wonder what happens when you have a boy. Will you build your own pirate ships? Trucks? Racecars? :)
Black bows for boys.
